What is the Writing Center?

The SLCC Student Writing Center works with Salt Lake Community College students on all their college writing projects. The SLCC Student Writing Center helps SLCC students to improve as writers and to succeed as students. They offer free writing advising to all SLCC classes, in-person and online.

The SLCC Community Writing Center works with non-college related writing projects. The SLCC Community Writing Center supports, motivates and educates people of all abilities and educational backgrounds who want to use writing for practical needs, civic engagement and personal expression. They provide opportunities to enhance writing abilities through such programs as Writing Coaching, Writing Workshops, the DiverseCity Writing Series and Writing Partners. These services are open to all Salt Lake area residents.
